This is the highest quality, most exceptional bracelet of this type I have ever seen. They are a combination of 10 almost identical individual bangles, each one of incredibly fine quality. The foundation of each component bracelet is very thin black plastic thread, acting as the weft - wound tightly around a bamboo base. Fulani women artisans in the most rural areas of Mali create, completely by hand, the extraordinarily detailed patterns of each bracelet by intricately weaving a design with a contrasting color - pink in this case - as the warp. This quality is rare; the level of detail and beauty of each bracelet is stunning.
